The PFP – Prosopographical Research Platform Austria serves as an umbrella project
for person-based research at the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW) using methods of Digital Humanities.
In this platform, data from individual prosopographical projects such as PIO, MINE, PMB,
VieCPro, ManMAX, various digital editions and the Austrian Biographical Dictionary are integrated.
This is achieved through the use of Semantic Web technologies, Linked Open Data (Wikidata, Integrated Authority File, GeoNames, etc.),
and Artificial Intelligence (AI). By employing these innovative technologies, the PFP will serve as a central hub for relevant DH projects at the OeAW in the future.
